Founded in 2017 by Cynthia Brown after 31 years in federal service, Contract Administration Network International (CANI) was built on firsthand experience inside the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, and Department of Homeland Security where execution, compliance, and results were non-negotiable.

CANI was founded on a simple belief: companies need practitioners, not theorists. People who have been in the room, made hard decisions, and delivered under pressure. Our work began supporting the U.S. Secret Service and quickly expanded to complex acquisition efforts with the Federal Aviation Administration. Today, we support program and portfolio management initiatives across agencies including NOAA, where precision, accountability, and execution matter most.

As our clients’ needs evolved, so did we. Beyond acquisition support, we expanded into CIO advisory services, IT modernization, cybersecurity, and workforce development helping our clients build stronger leaders, adaptable teams, and technology strategies that solve real business problems.

Today, our team has overseen more than $2B in federal contracts, managed $200M+ IT portfolios, and trained leaders across DoD, DHS, FAA, NOAA, and beyond. While we are a certified Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Small Disadvantage Business (SDB), what defines us is our ability to help organizations  across federal, state, local government, non-profit and the private sector execute with confidence and deliver lasting impact.
